Democratic Exclusivity

ko-logo.jpg

Something that might sweeten the deal of living so far from the subway…  Ko, a new restaurant in NYC’s East Village.  It has only 14 seats and accepts reservations online exclusively through their Web site no more than one week in advance.  Reservations are taken on a first come first serve basis and can be made for 1, 2 or 4 people only.

Is it any good?  I don’t know but the following disclaimer makes me want to find out…

Dinner in the Sky

What to get the person who has everything… except common sense:

Dinner in the Sky

“Dinner in the Sky is hosted at a table suspended at a height of 50 metres, by a team of professionals. Dinner in the Sky is available for a session of 8 hours. It can be divided or personalised accorded to the client’s wishes.  Dinner in the Sky accommodates 22 people around the table at every session, with three staff in the middle (chef, waiter, or entertainer).

Dinner in the Sky may include a second crane with a platform (or more if desired) at the same height as the table, for entertainment such as music, or presentations (i.e. a car).”

(Look how terrified the jacketless business man is!)

I am not into this… not only are cranes totally taboo right now, I don’t want to worry about being the buzz kill who has the whole party “lowered” so that I can use the ladies room.
