The Bean, a.k.a. Cloud Gate, is a public sculpture by Anish Kapoor in Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois. It’s made of 168 highly polished stainless steel plates, and stands 33 feet high, 66 feet long, and 42 feet wide, and weighs 110 tons. Inspired by liquid mercury, it was designed to reflect the city’s skyline. I just want to touch it!
Last week, a giant robotic eggs that cracks open every morning to reveal a yoke that reads, “Fresh Eggs Daily” was installed in front of the McDonald located across the street from Wrigley Field in Chicago. (PHEW – that was a mouthful!) This interactive billboard begins to crack at dawn and remains open until breakfast is no longer served… and then proceeds to close and stay shut until dawn the next day. Something different, huh?!
Eggs as the next big trend (see Sunny Side Up post)? Talk amongst yourselves!
