Claps for Apps – II

Although iPhone apps aren’t the reason I switched to an iPhone, they are quickly becoming the reason I haven’t switched from the iPhone!  For my second installment of Claps for (iPhone) Apps, I bring you…

Passion:  With the new iPhone Passion application you can “rate” your lovemaking – in real time (without the help of an audience)!  By strapping the iPhone to arm or belt, users are rated on duration, activity and orgasm by using the iPhone’s timer, microphone and motion sensor.  Feeling competitive?  Track your results by uploading online and comparing with other couples.  For the love…!

Claps for Apps – I

Although iPhone apps aren’t the reason I switched to an iPhone, they are quickly becoming the reason I haven’t switched from the iPhone!  For my first installment of Claps for (iPhone) Apps, I bring you…

Walk the Line:  Short of integrating a breathalyzer into the body of the iPhone, Dutch brewing company Grolsch might have figured out the next best thing with their new Walk the Line app. Utilizing the iPhone’s motion-sensing accelerometer, the application tracks a user’s ability (or lack thereof) to refrain from weaving when attempting to walk a straight line.  The test encourages users to walk a straight line while holding their iPhones as level as possible and trying to keep a dot in the middle of target on the screen. A final score indicates whether you’re inebriated or not.  Of course this app is no way meant to serve as true gauge of one’s sobriety but it’s fun.  Unfortunately, this app isn’t available in the states yet… but hopefully it will soon.

The Power Of Three

I have been a bad blogger and my excuse is even lamer… I am dog/cat/house-sitting at a place that has super crappy spotty Internet connection.  I curse Linksys!  But I am back on track, my friends, and am in fine form after an excellent morning that consisted of the following:

  1. I got totally lost a little bit turned around on my way into the office (I’m not familiar with the neighborhood in which I am pet/house sitting)… but luckily for me, my iPhone map application guided me smoothly from god-only-knows-where-point-A to point B.  I have a feeling my iPhone and I are going to have a very happy relationship together… (cue the doves).
  2. As I walked into the office with two of my coworkers, we literally almost got stuck in this doorjam as we unintentionally attempted to walk through it at the same time.  I don’t think I have ever laughed this hard before 8:30am on a Monday.

  1. It was released across AP that scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, have developed artificially engineered materials (called metamaterials) that redirect light rendering the objects/people they cloak INVISIBLE!  My dream to be a fly on the wall (or Harry Potter) just might come true…

Sent From my iPhone

So a friend of mine programmed the signature on her gmail account to read “Sent from my iPhone” just for the hell of it… even though she doesn’t have iPhone.  Here are her rants…

“It’s fun b/c I feel like I’m stealing only I’m not really stealing. It’s like buying a Chinatown Gucci bag. It’s amazing how many people are all, “YOU have an iPhone?” Why can I not be on the cutting edge and ride the technological super highway with everyone else? So what, if I had an iPhone. What’s the big whoop? I think it makes iPhone owners mad that I am “stealing” and I am not sure why, but that’s what makes it so much fun for me.”

I wish this had been my idea… so in the spirit of stealing I am going to change my gmail signature too!
